West Side Story is the film adaptation of the original 1957 Broadway show, with book by Arthur Laurents, music by Leonard Bernstein, lyrics by Stephen Sondheim, and conceived, directed and choreographed by Jerome Robbins.
The film obtained 7 nominations at the 2022 Academy Awards: Best Film, Best Director, Best Supporting Actress, Best Cinematography, Best Art Direction, Best Costume Design and Best Sound.
