Synopsis Maria, a young woman of humble origins, is forced to abandon her home due to financial problems and move to the city, to Buenos Aires, where she finds work as a maid in a rich family. In this new world, amidst humiliations and sorrows, Maria falls in love with the master's son and, after just one night of love, becomes pregnant.
