• The goal is to earn the most victory points by strategically governing the island of Puerto Rico. Choosing the role to play will be crucial in each turn because other players can also perform the actions of the character you choose, but only you can receive the advantages associated with that card.
• Puerto Rico is played in rounds. The round ends after each player has chosen a Citizen card, and all other players have performed the associated action. The game ends when: there are not enough workers to fill the Recruitment Hall, one or more players have filled their City spaces, there are no more VP markers. The player with the most victory points is the winner.
• During the game you can build buildings and make the city prosper, produce goods and send them by sea to enrich yourself. Try to choose carefully which goals to pursue and plan your victory!
