• A dangerous alien capable of assuming human form has been freed after centuries of hibernation and it will be up to the men of the American base Outpost 31 to defeat it.
• The board game recreates the atmosphere and most iconic moments of the 1982 cult film The Thing.
• Players must manage Outpost 31 as best they can, find the escape route, and try to discover who, among the players at the table, is the Thing.
• The men of the base can harness the powers of the Outpost's locations and perform tests on their companions to discover their true nature.
• Once the Thing is located, players must battle it to defeat it and save humanity.
