Synopsis The Soviet government sends three agents to Paris, Iranoff, Bulianoff and Kopalski, to resell the jewels confiscated from the Grand Duchess Swana, a noblewoman exiled in Paris after the Russian Revolution. However, the woman instructs her lover, Count Leon, to prevent the sale and allow her to reclaim them. Leon approaches the three men and introduces them to the pleasures of Parisian life. The scandalous behavior of the three reaches the ears of the Russian government, which sends its best inspector, with full powers, the upright Ninotchka. However, the woman falls in love with Leon, and he reciprocates, and she too lets herself be won over by the pleasures of Western life.
